THE CHALLENGE
The new 5-storey building is designed with students, animal, and client wellbeing and research at its heart, with facilities for animal care, research, pre-clinical and clinical trials. As a space of learning, it also includes student accommodation and amenities, including a café. The healthcare and hygiene standards are high for this facility, and the project aimed to reach sustainability goals including a 6 Star Green Star ‘As Built’ Certification.
THE RESULT
Utilising high-quality wall and flooring vinyl, the style and usability of the facilities was effectively supported, making it easy to maintain hygiene for animals, staff, and students. The flooring manages high-traffic easily and contributes to sustainability goals, while communal areas and accommodation is equipped with comfortable yet stylish high-durability carpeting. All this was achieved on time and budget, while working alongside multiple project teams.
